How do I switch my number to felix?

It’s quick and easy to switch over to felix. Two main things to remember;


- Leave your current provider's active SIM in your phone until your switch is all done (at step 3 below)


- You don't need to let your current provider know you're switching. We'll look after all that in the back-end for you!


3 steps to switching:


1. Sign up in the felix app, verify your email on your phone, and choose to activate your service using an eSIM on your compatible device, or we can send you a peachy SIM in the mail (we’ll express post it for free!)


2. Follow the steps in the app to activate right away if you’re using an eSIM. If you’re waiting for a physical SIM, log into the felix app and follow the prompts to when it arrives. The switch usually takes just a few minutes when started between 8am and 8pm Sydney time, Mon-Fri*


3. You'll know your felix SIM is activated and your switch has gone through when your previous provider's SIM goes into SOS.


*95% of switches are completed within two hours but can take up to three business hours.

How do I sign up?

Follow these steps to get set up with felix:


1. Head to https://felixmobile.com.au/buy to sign up, or you can download the felix mobile app to sign up (you'll need iOS version 12.0/Android OS version 5.0 or later)


2. Follow the sign up prompts. It's here you'll let us know if you want to bring your current number over to felix or get a peachy new one


3. Choose to order and activate with an eSIM on your compatible device, or we can send you a peachy physical SIM in the mail (we send this via Express Post at no extra cost to your home address, PO Box, or Parcel locker) 


4. When your peachy SIM arrives, activate it in the app and enjoy the sweet feeling of doing good for the planet. If you chose to sign up with an eSIM, you can activate it right away!


PS. You will pay your first month of the subscription when you first sign up, but your billing cycle won’t start until you’ve activated your service in the app.

How much does it cost to sign up?

You’ll pay your first month of the subscription when you order your SIM, but your monthly billing cycle won’t start until you activate your SIM. There is no extra charge for the SIM itself.


From time to time we make available promo codes that allow you to get your first month at a discount (or even free!). This code must be applied when signing up to be eligible for any discounts.

Can I buy now and activate later? (Yep!)

Yep! Once you've ordered your SIM and purchased your first month's subscription, you've got two years to activate! 


PS Your monthly billing cycle also won't start until you've activated. For example, if you purchase on January 1st and activate your SIM on February 10th (in the same year), your next payment won’t be until March 10th (of the same year).

How do I sign up for an eSIM?

felix is super proud to offer eSIM as a no-plastic solution to your mobile phone plan! To get started, please make sure you have:


- An eSIM compatible device. Check here to see if your device is compatible. Please note, we don't currently have eSIM available for smart watches

- A Wi-Fi connection or the ability to hotspot from another mobile device (you’ll need a stable internet connection)

- A valid Australian Mastercard, Visa credit or debit card to purchase your felix subscription.



New to felix? Follow these quick steps:


1. Download the felix mobile app, or head to https://felixmobile.com.au/buy 


2. Buy a subscription, pick eSIM when prompted and let us know if you want to keep your existing number or get a new one. Be guided through the activation of your eSIM in the app, or head to How to activate your eSIM if you're keeping your existing number or How to activate your eSIM if you're getting a new felix number



Already a customer and would like to swap to an eSIM? Follow these easy steps:


1. Head to the felix mobile app


2. Tap Settings > Replace or swap your SIM


3. Follow the prompts and confirm you want to make the switch to an eSIM


4. Once you’ve confirmed, the app will guide you through three quick steps to set up and activate your new eSIM.


Activation takes just a few minutes and it automatically brings your current number over.

Is my mobile phone compatible with a felix SIM?

felix’s one simple plan is available on either an eSIM or a physical SIM.


eSIM (digital SIM for most new model phones)

eSIM means ‘embedded SIM’. It works the same as a physical SIM card but instead of having to wait for your SIM in the mail, you can download it straight on your phone in minutes from the felix app. You can check if your phone is eSIM compatible here.


Physical SIM

felix’s physical SIM is a 3-in-1 SIM with the ability to punch out one of three standard sizes (standard, micro, nano). 


felix can only be used in a mobile phone. See our approved devices list.

How long will my physical SIM delivery take?

Our physical SIMs are sent express post (at no extra cost) by Australia Post and you can track its delivery in the felix app. We’ll also send you a tracking link over email. Express delivery is usually within 1-3 business days in metro areas.

How much is the app? Do I need it?

The app is free, zip, nada. Your service will work without it, but you'll need to download it to activate your felix service, and to manage your service ongoing.


From the felix app you can view your usage, purchase International Roaming or Unlimited International calls and text, chat with the felix team and see how many trees have been planted on your behalf.  


The felix app is available in both the App Store and Google Play.

How do I apply my referral/promo code?

You’ll be prompted to pop your referral or promo code when signing up to felix.

If you’ve signed up with a referral code, your (and your referrer’s!) credit will be applied once you activate your SIM, not when you sign up. The credit will automatically come off your next felix purchase.

Can I get my physical SIM sent to a PO Box or Parcel Locker (Yes!)

Yep! That's totally fine. Please note, you'll still need to enter a residential address during sign up but can choose a PO Box or Parcel Locker for your delivery address. 


To have your physical SIM delivered to a PO Box;

1. Tap Add a different delivery address when prompted after entering Home address

2. Pop your PO Box number in the search field, then tap Enter address manually

3. Enter "PO Box ###" in the Street name field.

4. Select Street type as 'None'.

5. Enter suburb, postcode and state as normal.

6. Tap Done


To have your physical SIM delivered to a Parcel Locker;

1. Tap Add a different delivery address when prompted after entering Home address

2. Pop your Parcel Locker in the search field, then tap Enter address manually

3. Enter your Parcel Locker number in the Business Name field

4. Enter rest of address as normal

5. Tap Done

Can I sign up to felix if I am travelling to Australia?

We'd love to have you! There are a couple of things you'll need to provide in order to sign up to felix:


- A valid Australian residential address
