How do I switch my number to felix?

It’s quick and easy to switch over to felix. Two main things to remember:


- Leave your current provider's active SIM in your phone until your switch is all done (at step three below)


- You don't need to let your current provider know you're switching. We'll look after all that in the backend for you


Switch your number to felix in three steps


1. Sign up in the felix mobile app, verify your email on your phone and select your plan. Choose to then activate your service using an eSIM, a SIM you purchased at a Coles supermarket or a SIM  we’ve sent to you in the mail.


2. Follow the steps in the felix mobile app to activate right away if you’re using an eSIM. If you’re waiting for a physical SIM, log into the felix app and follow the prompts to when it arrives. Switching usually takes just a few minutes* when started between 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday or 10am to 6pm Saturdays (Sydney time  ).


3. You'll know your felix SIM is activated and your switch has gone through when your previous provider's SIM goes into SOS. You can now go ahead and pop in your felix SIM.


*Switches can take up to three business hours.

How do I sign up and order a felix SIM?

You can sign up and order your felix SIM or eSIM through the felix mobile app or on the web. You can also buy a felix SIM at Coles supermarkets. Once you have your felix SIM, you’ll need to activate it in the felix mobile app.

How much does it cost to sign up?

felix mobile offers three, great value pre-paid plans. 


- 25GB Mobile Plan ($25/month)  


- 50GB Mobile Plan ($30/month)  


- Unlimited Data Plan ($40/month) at speeds up to 20Mbps. 


You will be charged for your first month on your selected plan at the time of signing up and ordering your SIM. However, your monthly billing cycle won’t start until you activate your SIM card. There is no extra charge to order an eSIM or physical SIM on any of our plans. 


From time to time, we have promo codes available to sign up to felix at a discounted price. Promo codes or referral codes must be applied on sign up to be eligible for any discounts.

Can I buy a felix SIM now and activate it later?

Yes! When you purchase a felix SIM, you have one year to activate it.


Your monthly billing cycle won't start until you've activated. For example, if you purchased on the 1st of January and activate your SIM on the 10th of February in the same year, your next payment will be the next month on the 10th of March.

How do I sign up for an eSIM?

felix is proud to offer eSIM as a no-plastic solution to your mobile phone plan! To get started, please make sure you have:


- An eSIM compatible device. Check here to see if your device is compatible. Please note, we don't currently have eSIM available for smart watches


- A Wi-Fi connection or the ability to hotspot from another mobile device (you’ll need a stable internet connection)


New to felix? Follow these quick steps:


1. Download the felix mobile app, or head to our website


2. Pick a plan and buy your subscription


3. Select eSIM when prompted


4. Let us know if you want to keep your existing number or get a new one

Already a customer and would like to swap to an eSIM? Follow these easy steps:


1. Head to the felix mobile app


2. Tap Settings > Replace or swap your SIM


3. Follow the prompts and confirm you want to make the switch to an eSIM


4. Once you’ve confirmed, the app will guide you through three quick steps to set up and activate your new eSIM.


Activation takes just a few minutes and it automatically brings your current number over.

Is my mobile phone compatible with a felix SIM?

felix can only be used in a mobile plan. You can see our approved devices list here. You can choose either an eSIM or physical SIM card.


An eSIM is an embedded SIM card (think of it as a ‘digital SIM card’ that is downloaded onto your phone). It acts the same as a physical SIM but allows for a quicker sign up process. Check if your device is eSIM compatible here.


Our physical SIM cards include a 3-in-1 SIM with the ability to punch out one of the three standard sizes (standard, micro, nano).

Can I sign up to felix if I'm only visiting Australia?

We'd love to have you! There are a couple of things you'll need to provide in order to sign up to felix:


- A valid Australian residential address

- A valid Mastercard or Visa credit/debit card, or a PayPal account to purchase your felix subscription.


Please note, if you sign up with an international payment method, a PayPal account, or a card issued by some smaller Aussie financial institutions you will be required to do an ID check before activating your SIM. There are a few ID types you can choose to use for your check. If you choose to use your Foreign Passport with your Australian VISA, you will need to complete the ID check once you've entered Australia. The ID check is done within the felix app and should only take a few minutes to complete.


Please note that your SIM can only be activated in Australia. If you have an eSIM compatible phone, you can switch to felix in minutes.

How long will my physical SIM delivery take?

Our physical SIMs are sent express post (at no extra cost) by Australia Post and you can track its delivery in the felix app. We’ll also send you a tracking link over email. Express delivery is usually within 1-3 business days in metro areas.

Can I activate my SIM overseas?

What payment method can I sign up with?

felix accepts all valid Australian and internationally issued Mastercard or Visa credit/debit cards and PayPal. 


Please note, if you sign up with an international payment method, a PayPal account, or a card issued by some smaller Aussie financial institutions, you will be required to do an ID check before activating your SIM. There are a few ID types you can choose to use for your check (like Australian driver's licence or Medicare card). 


If you're only visiting and you choose to use your Foreign Passport with your Australia VISA, you will need to do the check once you've entered Australia. The ID check is done within the app and should only take a few minutes to complete.

How much is the app? Do I need it?

The app is free, zip, nada. Your service will work without it, but you'll need to download it to activate your felix service, and to manage your service ongoing.


From the felix app you can view your usage, purchase International Roaming or Unlimited International calls and text, chat with the felix team and see how many trees have been planted on your behalf.


The felix app is available in both the App Store and Google Play.

How do I apply my referral/promo code?

When you sign up and purchase your SIM online, you’ll be prompted to add a promo or referral code on our website or in the app.

If you’ve signed up with a referral code, you and your referrer’s credit will be applied once you have activated your SIM, not when you sign up. The credit will automatically go towards your next felix purchase.


If you use a promo code with a multi-month discount (e.g. your first three months discounted) and pause before the promo ends, you must pay the full subscription amount to resume your subscription, and then you retain the discount for the remaining months the promo covers.

Can I get my physical SIM sent to a PO Box or Parcel Locker?

Yes! That's totally fine. Please note, you'll still need to enter a residential address during sign up but can choose a PO Box or Parcel Locker for your delivery address. 


To have your physical SIM delivered to a PO Box;

1. Tap Add a different delivery address when prompted after entering Home address

2. Pop your PO Box number in the search field, then tap Enter address manually

3. Enter "PO Box ###" in the Street name field.

4. Select Street type as 'None'.

5. Enter suburb, postcode and state as normal.

6. Tap Done


To have your physical SIM delivered to a Parcel Locker;

1. Tap Add a different delivery address when prompted after entering Home address

2. Pop your Parcel Locker in the search field, then tap Enter address manually

3. Enter your Parcel Locker number in the Business Name field

4. Enter rest of address as normal

5. Tap Done
