What is the new regional network and how will if affect me?
Once implemented, our new regional network will cover 98.4 per cent of the Australian population. You will immediately have access to nearly one million square kilometres of coverage, including 5G in areas where it is already available.
When will the new regional network be available?
The new network is planned to begin in early 2025. Updates will be released closer to the date.
Is my area covered?
Once implemented, Vodafone's mobile network (we’re powered by Vodafone’s 5G/4G network) will cover 98.4 per cent of the Australian population. We have yet to confirm the individual geographic areas to be covered. We look forward to providing additional information about the regional network later in the year.
How will the new regional network impact my connection?
For customers in regional areas, it will improve your overall network experience and give you access to our network in more areas. For those living in metro areas, you'll be able to enjoy better connection on our network when travelling across regional Australia.
Will I have to pay more for my mobile plan because of the new regional network?
We do not have plans to increase mobile prices because of the regional network arrangement.
Do I need to do anything to get access to the new regional network?
No, you don't need to do anything. These exciting changes to the network will be managed by us.
Will I be able to use 5G immediately?
Once the regional network is implemented, our mobile customers will immediately have access to areas where 5G is already available and the 5G coverage will continue to grow as more sites are upgraded.
