Ongoing power outages from the impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred are continuing to cause some minor network disruptions in Southeast Queensland.

More than 220 sites have been restored to full connectivity, however, ongoing power and access issues are impacting sites in Queensland and New South Wales.

These sites are located in the following postcodes: 2469, 2471, 4163, 4178, 4213, 4214, 4217, 4220, 4221, 4227.

While there is overlapping coverage for these impacted sites, some customers might experience a reduction in service quality while we continue to restore full network connectivity in these areas.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.

How to stay connected

Here are our top three tips to help you stay connected:

Power up. Make sure your mobile devices and portable battery packs are fully charged so you can access information and call emergency services. If you live in a remote area, consider a generator for long-lasting backup power.

Listen up. Stay alert to updates and news for your affected area. The ABC, Australia’s national emergency broadcaster, provides critical information. A battery-powered radio is a great backup if mobile or internet services are disrupted.

Back-up. Upload important documents and personal records – including identification, insurance and financial records – in the cloud, on an external hard drive, or print them and keep them with you.
