What happens if my auto renewal payment fails?
Last updated 23/07/2025

If your payment fails on your renewal date, you can continue using your service for another two days. We'll automatically try to collect the payment again at 11:59pm Sydney-time that same day and on day two, if no successful payment has been made. We recommend manually making a payment in the felix app at your earliest convenience by tapping Repurchase my subscription on the home screen.

If all automatic payment attempts are unsuccessful, your plan expires.
Here's what happens:

- You'll still be able to make emergency calls while connected to a working mobile network, but you'll only be able to receive calls and texts for the next 90 days and will no longer be able to call, send texts, or use mobile data.

- After 120 days, if you make an emergency call, your mobile number won't display to the Triple Zero operator.

To undo these restrictions and get back to using your plan as normal, head to the felix mobile app and tap Resume my subscription on the home screen within 119 days of your plan expiring.

After 120 days, you can no longer resume your plan.

Have you received a payment failure notification?
These situations might apply to you:

- If you're one of our customers who has been paying $35/mth for our unlimited plan, and you resume your plan after missing payments, your plan price will reset to our new price of $40/mth.

- If you're using a promo code with a multi-month discount (e.g. a discount for your first three months) and miss your payments, the first payment when you resume your plan will be the full priced amount. After that, you'll go back to paying the discounted amount for the remaining months left on your promo.
